vs. EU AI platforms
European, certified, model-agnostic — the same ground B1 stands on. The difference is what comes out the other end: chat and assistants, not working interfaces. And on-premise starts at 1,000 seats.
vs. agent builders
The reference for building agents. But the surface stays cards and text — and business teams do not build here: maker skills, environments, a process owner.
vs. vibe coding

- App-building features of the chat assistants. ChatGPT Sites (public beta): “not available … in the EEA, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom at launch” and “does not support data residency or inference residency at launch”; private networks, external databases and background services are unsupported, and every deployment URL is a production URL. - Chat assistants enforce their own platform’s permissions (Microsoft 365 Graph, workspace) — roles from SAP, Salesforce or ServiceNow do not carry over. Write actions into core systems only through connectors you build yourself, without end-to-end approval governance.
- Copilot Studio: no complex interactive elements inside the chat (custom forms, dynamic charts, drag & drop), no restructuring of the layout. - Production-grade agents need defined scope, maintained knowledge sources, escalation paths, testing and a process owner; Microsoft runs a dedicated certification path (PL-900 → AB-900 → AB-410). Power Apps Vibe has been in public preview since April 2026.
- Audits of 200+ vibe-coded apps: average security score 52/100, with recurring hardcoded API keys, missing row-level security and broken auth. 19 % of organisations have had a production incident traced to an AI-generated internal tool; 59 % cannot say either way. - A deliberate limit: B1 does not promise unsupervised autonomous agents. Agent-assisted actions run only with an approved capability, under existing data permissions, and visible in an auditable interface — a documented product decision, not a missing feature.
- B1 deployment: the standard case is EU SaaS or your own cloud tenancy, with no seat minimum on either. A full on-premise installation is on the roadmap for this platform. On-premise runs today on the B1 Developer Framework — the technology underneath, operated by Build.One GmbH — which makes it a technology capability, not an availability claim for the platform.

- Chat assistants reach these systems through connectors, and the default path indexes a copy rather than reading the system live. Microsoft’s synced Copilot connectors are “indexed into Microsoft 365”; only the newer federated (MCP) connectors are “fetched live”. The Salesforce CRM connector “currently indexes Account, Contact, Opportunity, Lead, and Case objects”, with further objects “on the roadmap”, and crawls incrementally every 15 minutes and fully once a day. The ServiceNow Tickets connector “doesn’t support reading ACL rules for any ticket items or any table”, and “attachments and comments aren’t indexed”. SAP has no first-party Copilot connector — it arrives by handing the question to SAP Joule, or through a partner or custom OData connector. On the OpenAI side, company-knowledge mode is read-only by design: apps qualify only if they expose search and fetch, and “write mode is not supported”.
